FAQ
Is this APK safe, and how can I verify it?
Check that the package name is tv.twitch.android.app and that the developer is Twitch Interactive, Inc. If you install APK files, it is also a good idea to scan the file with your device security tools before opening it.
What Android version do I need, and what if my phone is older?
Twitch requires Android 5.0 or newer. If your phone is below Android 5.0, the app may not install or may not run correctly.
How do I update to the newest version without losing my data?
Install the newer APK over the current app package so Android treats it as an update. Keeping the same package name helps preserve app data, but you should still back up anything important first.
Do I need an internet connection or an account to use it?
The app is built around live streaming, so an internet connection is needed for normal use. For account or sign-in details, check the prompts inside the app.
